Paul W. Carlson, CPA (00:02):
Hey, this is Paul Carlson CPA. A lot of our firms are using Gusto for payroll because it automates so much the hiring process and just the daily activities of maintaining payroll. This video is going to talk about how the Gusto time tracking process works for employees. So, I'm in a demo account. If you were a firm admin, there's a selection in the side where you can pick if you want to work from the admin profile or the employee profile. So, we're acting where we're logged in as an employee at this time. So, within Gusto, for hourly employees, they can track their time directly from Gusto. So, key trick is to make sure you're on the right week, and say we're adding time for August 3rd. And we say, we came in at 8:00 AM, we left at 5:00 PM, we took a break. I started at 1:00 PM, and we took an hour for lunch.

Hit submit, and the tool calculates the total hours worked. And you can add notes into the description if you want. And if the settings are set up, you can change the time. So, this looks simple, but where this is nice is at scale. If you have multiple hourly employees, they can report their time into the system and we're not exchanging spreadsheets back and forth when it comes time to do payroll. And with that, just a quick overview of how employees can enter time into the Gusto time tracker. Thanks.
